For those of you who wish to become a Host or Hostess, please carefully read the following responsibilities and requirements, then if still interested, fill out the form.

Responsibilities:

These will include answering all geological questions concerning the meeting place in question- that means if someone needs to find out directions to a certain place, then you had better know at least some good map sites for people to look at, or you to look up and send to them.

Helping people to find and make reservations at Hotels/Motels. Not to the extent that you will be doing all of the work- just the making of a list showing prices, locations, Pros and Cons. If you are selected we will discuss this in further detail later on.

Helping people to find a means of transportation if they will have to be traveling to reach the destination. i.e. have dependable websites with the right information for people to look through.

Planning the time and place of the grouping, and helping to organize other events.

Requirements:

Must be of 18 years of age or older.

Must live within the city- or near by. 

Must be a recognized member of DP. That is, you have to have been a full member of DP for a number of time.

Must be responsible, reliable, and friendly. Also must have ready internet access (for means of communication- icq would be wonderful), a valid e-mail address (which can be checked regularly),  and be able to tolerate a possible high stress environment.

This is a time effort. If you cannot meet in the scheduled chats or reply to messages/e-mails in a fair amount of time; don't bother signing up for the position. 

We need dependable people who would really like to do this, and have the know-how and means.
